What is the
International Eco-citizenship Summit?

The International Eco-citizenship Summit is a unifying event designed to accelerate the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN. Under the patronage of UNESCO, this event will mobilize, on June 8 and 9, 2023, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, more than 90 international speakers, including several leading figures from UNESCO and the UN. Among the distinguished guests, Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and Ban Ki-moon, 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations. The Summit will have three themes for the first edition:

1) Climate change and the rights of future generations;

2) Responsible entrepreneurship;

3) Healthy emotional and relational habits in social ecosystems (gender equality, racism and intersectionality).

The Summit and its aftermath will provide an opportunity to create a public debate and to outline solutions and actions to enable new generations to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
